Sing a Song
The Garden Song
This is called The Garden Song. Sing the chorus softly and think about how things grow.
Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow.
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground.
Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow.
Someone warm them from below
‘Till the rain comes tumbling down.

Try This
Today’s color is dark green. Talk about all the kinds of trees you can think of and what trees do for us. If you can, take a walk outside to see the trees together as a family.
If you are indoors, try making up a rhyming game for words about trees the outdoors. Help your child think of rhymes for words like: leaf, tree, green, wood, bark, branch, garden, pine cone, etc.
